Today, students continued to design and carry out scientific experiments on the dissolving M&M's, and went through two assessments in math. Half the group began a skills assessment while the other half worked their way through 8 games set up for them to analyze using the multiplication of fractions. They wrote down the probability of winning these two part games, and then the two groups switched. It was a busy day in both subjects!

After no homework last night, students may have two pieces of work to finish tonight. In math, students have a front-and-back page of problems designed to help them see strategies in multiplying fractions by whole numbers, other fractions, and mixed numbers. In science, some students may be finishing writing their conclusions and hypotheses from today's experiment.
