I "expect" that this page will be finished by the end of the first week with the common expectations for students and teachers in the 6th grade.
Below, you will find our team's Mission Statement and Code of Conduct.
In our homerooms, each class started with a 6th grade "Mission Statement" to develop classroom norms. These norms will act as a Code of Conduct to help us meet the following mission:
"Everyone deserves to be treated with respect and kindness to create a positive learning environment."
Students brainstormed what it would look, sound, and feel like in a classroom that was meeting this mission, and from those descriptions, a council of representatives from each room created a list of 4 Classroom Norms that will guide our year.
1- Have fun and be safe.
2- Be ready to learn.
3- Listen to and encourage each other.
4- Respect each other, our ideas, and our belongings.
