In Math, students began with a brain warm-up designed to help students see numbers as made up of fractional parts. After that, students were split based on yesterday's assessment, which showed that many students no longer need work with equivalent fractions, and some no longer need practice with reducing and joined those working on extension problems. It's been a productive week for everyone. Those working on reducing fractions watched a rap video on the topic (it's surprisingly good...), received a mini-lesson, and practiced the skills until most mastered them. Their homework is to practice a bit more with a handout. Those working on the Science Fair extension project will finish their work and come in ready to prove their answers.

In Science, we had a work period where students wrote up the evidence they had collected from our FBI crime scene yesterday.
