Thursday, October 16th: No Homework

Today the students circulated through 4 stations of games and investigations that help to build (or remind students of) their 'fraction common sense'. They compared fractions, ordered fractions, and did so in short games with partners, defended their choices along the way.

In Science, students added captions to their nature journals that connected their micro sketches to their macro sketches in order to put their place and it's details in context. After, we wateched the first part of a Planet Earth video on 'Mountains', documenting the elements of ecosystems we have been learning about (Sadly, a little rain kept us from more nature journaling.).
