We're getting back into the groove after our Kieve week, and I personally took a bit longer to get fully in the groove - there was no homework assigned Monday and Tuesday, and I neglected to post about Wednesday's homework - my apologies. Tonight the students will be practicing a new strategy for finding the Greatest Common Factor of two large numbers. These are numbers too big to use the strategy of listing factors, so they will take what they know about Prime Factorization and apply it to the problems as we practiced in class today.
In science, we are finishing up a two-week unit on Evidence-Based Writing, with one final piece to be written in class tomorrow. Most students have chosen a topic and are beginning to fill out a chart to organize their evidence. Period 5 is a bit behind due to the Magazine Assembly, so they have not all started this. Homework for most people is to complete their chart laying out the evidence they will use in their final piece of writing.
