Today we began making educational posters on topics in math. Some are making these posters about Prime Factorization and others are making them about Exponents. They have a sheet explaining the guidelines and their homework is to have a rough draft to share with their partner tomorrow.

In Science, we have begun the imporant skill of Evidence-Based Writing, beginning with a graphic organizer today in class to help them sort out how to support a Claim with Evidence and Warrant (explanation). Tonight, their homework is to take the organizer they filled out and write sentences for each piece of Evidence and each Warrant. We'll use this work to put together a strong piece of persuasive writing tomorrow.
