After a brief hiatus from homework in honor of standardized testing, students are bringing home a bit of work tonight that varies from student to student, period to period. For math, they have a page or two of practice problems in whichever topic fit them after a quick sorting assessment to target certain needs. They will either be working with exponents or prime factorization.

In Science, we had a busy day: outside for quantitative/qualitative observations getting ready for a game called "That's My Tree", then inside for a Formative Assessment on Observations & Inferences to make sure everyone is on target before we move into Evidence-Based Writing. Period 2 received Assessment Slips with past work so they could see their progress, and their homework is to revise to improve any work below a 3. I will accept revisions for those looking to move from a 3 to a 4 as well. Period 5 did not have time to receive these, but they'll start with them tomorrow morning.
