Today we finished up the diagnostic tests on arithmetic skills and students took home a packet of challenging puzzles that start to incorporate more number sense. In the next few days, we will be customizing the skills work to each student's targetted needs, and balancing that with tme to work on their problem-solving strategies to apply those skills. The collection of puzzles they took home is called "Math Kangaroo Part 2".

The science homework involves reading the story of a crime scene at a video game club. Students will write down the observations and inferences a detective would have to make in order to suspect the owner of the club of...murder. Or at least manslaughter.
